Workshop for Filmmakers on HumanTrafficking
Aim: To explore the concept of socially responsible filmmaking
in more depth by focusing on the issue of trafficking.
When: Thursday 25 March from 9.30 – 17.00

Workshop details: The workshop will consist of talks, discussions and special screenings. It is designed for film-makers, commissioners and experts interested in the trafficking issue. The workshop is being organised by the Ethiopian Film Initiative, in partnership with People in Need (PIN).
Workshop leaders: There will be a number of speakers including Ragnhild Ek- the international co-ordinator of the Ethiopian Film Initiative, and Keith Bowers, a former senior commissioning editor for the BBC. Tereza Porybná and other experts from PIN (Awaiting names and possible person from ECA.
Outcomes: To give film-makers in Ethiopia the tools to operate in a socially responsible way. To enable local film-makers to address effectively the issue of trafficking in Ethiopia. To help local film-makers to understand the opportunities and risks in making such films.
