Zeresenai B. Mehari


Zeresenay Berhane Mehari is an Ethiopian born filmmaker currently working between the US and Ethiopia. He left Ethiopia in 1996 to obtain an Associate Arts degree in Film Production from De Anza College in Cupertino, California. He later on attended the widely recognized School of Film and Television at University of Southern California (USC), where he had the opportunity to write and direct five successful shorts, as well as directing for the school’s TV station “Trojan Vision. Since graduating in 2002, Zeresenay has worked in several industry projects, from production assistant, to direct and photograph music videos here and in Ethiopia, to cinematographer in two feature length film and two documentary, some of which showed on BBC. Currently, Zeresenay is working on his feature length film titled “Oblivion” that depicts the story and struggle of Ethiopian Women.
